We Customize…
…everything. The answer to everything is yes. We obviously specialize in custom oil paintings, but we also create custom art prints (getting the dimensions just right for your space, the cropping of the creative, and the custom framing). In addition to custom art of all types, I've been designing custom furniture, throw pillows and other home accessories for more than 20 years. We custom design wall paper, textiles, or anything in your life that that should balance not only form and function, but comfort and usability.

The truth is, I hold artists in such high regard, I have trouble calling myself an artist. Even after selling my artwork for more than 20 years. Even though I know I feel very in my element doing what I do. It's just that, when I see amazing art, I think to myself, "Now THAT'S an artist." Me, I'm just a hyper-creative quasi-inventor/designer/doer with an eye for style, creative patience, an abundance of inspiration, darn good technical skills, more ideas than I know what to do with, a penchant for meticulous quality, a deep understanding of color, lots of vision, and a true passion for design. A creative, maybe. But an artist? I wish. This is a such a good thing- it keeps me reaching higher.
I never set out to own a brand or a store, but the more projects I take on, the more I end up designing things custom. I fell into painting when I got my first apartment and felt unsatisfied with everything on the market. So I bought a text book about painting techniques and another on color mixing and painted over a borrowed canvas from a friend’s attic. And that’s how things went every time I envisioned something that I couldn’t find in the market.
And like I said, I never wanted a retail store, but I just sort of outgrew my studio (aka the garage). So here we are. I’m still creating custom everything and now we’re developing a product line of home decor products — accessories and wallpaper/textiles to start.

What is Scarlet Reagan Art & Home?
Ah yes well we are the most passionate art and home brand in Dallas. We have a store in Lakewood and a new Park Cities store that just opened. Come see!
Art is the hub of who we are. Owner and artist Kristi Kennimer creates custom large-scale oil paintings that inspire and inform our offerings. Her unique and special process connects the commissioner to the work’s meaning. This foundation is our launch pad for our designs. It’s all about the art.
Customers love to snatch up custom-framed prints of Kennimer’s work as well. Our store sells home decor and furniture to complete the look. I’m talking every piece you will love. This is not profit-driven product curation- it’s passion-driven and design-driven.
The store is a curated collection of our favorite things. Jewelry, candles, gifts and…what everyone knows us for is we have the best selection of throw pillows in Texas…or maybe on Earth.
For gift giving, a favorite that sells out every year is our collection of Artist Crops: 12x12 acrylic shadowbox-framed art prints that can stand or be hung. We have over 50 works of art to choose from. We offer one-of-a-kind gifts like hand-chosen books we hand-hollowed — guys love this gift.
